Gosh I love playing with the phone filters, I'm just not very good at settling on something, ya know?

So, Clan Donaldson has been coming up with these wacky themes lately, like today, Doubles! What the...Gotta love her, she's covering the bases for all bloggers with twins or something, I don't know.

Oh, above, brooding in the darkness and obscurity of the bedroom closet! Those are Obi's latest DOUBLE creation, beer and wine!

The beer in the white bucket should somehow taste like Heineken, I'm told. I'm a bit of a beer snob, meaning, oh, my all time favorite beverage of choice is the champagne of beers, Miller High Life, or Rolling Rock when I'm feeling fancy.

As for the wine, we are all so excited about this one! Obi made it from the sea grapes making a mess of the place everywhere. They actually taste pretty good on their own, a little sour, but let off a beautiful, rich wine-like scent when they are mushed under foot by the 16 bare feet of the Family Es. We will see how the wine tastes! The Peach Wine came out delish, a little on the sweet side for my taste, but you know, we're still waiting for y'all to come by and have a taste!

Go check out Clan Donaldson where you can see double without even drinking our homemade hooch!

  3. Ahhhhh....beer. Excited to be able to have another one someday! I used to exclusively drink Miller Lite. (Yikes? Right?) But I have finally graduated to a non-college, non-watery beer and usually will have a Blue Moon. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about having one on or around April 15th! (Is that a little sad or what?)

  4. I'm on my way, double quick! I love the filters too. How exactly does Obi find time for such crafts? He must stay up all night!

    1. That's pretty ambitious, making both homemade beer and wine. I'm impressed. :)

    2. Obi truly never sleeps. Maybe during prayer, but don't tell.

  5. I like the first one best...mostly because I like the splash of blue in the corner hanging down from the laundry basket. And your sea grape wine sounds fabulous....so does your peach wine.

  7. I will be your willing guinea pig. Always.
(I think Ken- who we have to thank for this set of themes- decided "double" because today is 10/10)
(or else because being married to me means he's always in need of a double)

    1. Aargh! I didn't even think of that, very clever, Ken. And why is it that everybody else nailed this theme? So many clever ones this week!

  8. I want to taste! And I'm impressed if that's your closet floor- it's so shiny! (And I like the black and white shot best for "brooding in... obscurity.")

  10. Some friends of our were super into making wine because one had a wheat allergy. One year they made blueberry wine and the bottles were ALL OVER the house. It was some pretty sweet, highly alcoholic wine.. Props for you giving the beer a go. My dad was into it and then the last few batches he made came out lemon-y and he hang up his brewers hat and sticks with Yuengling.

  11. Mmm, sweet peach wine sounds delectable! Fun with filters - hey, maybe 'filter' will be one of next month's themes. :-)

  12. I love to play with phone filters too.
I am always asking Madison which one looks best.
To which I get the typical teenage eye roll and her offering to just do it herself. ; )
    Happy Weekend, bloggy friend.

  14. I can't even stomach the fancy beers - hard cider is the best I can do, because it mostly tastes like juice :P

  15. I love the beer snob comment, too funny! Pete has been wanting to make beer or wine or both - I wish he didn't travel so much so he could get going with that since seeing those photos had me thinking we need our own doubles (but perhaps in each room since we are a great big, loud Catholic family like that)
